Every once in a while they just make you pause...and then swell with pride.

So, I'm standing in the kitchen the other day making breakfast or lunch, I can't really remember and my son is working on his Legos in the family room and he says something to me. At first I didn't think I heard what I thought I heard and so I asked him, "Buddy, what did you just say?"

And, he turns to me and says (again), "Mom, do you know how much I love you?"

So, me thinking to myself, "Well, good grief, boy, I think my heart is about to swell out of my chest!" I walk over to him and take his face in my hands and say, "Thank you buddy!, I love you too!" And he smiles, just a shy, proud smile and turns back to working on his Legos.

Man, do I love that boy! It was as if he knew that every once in a while, mommy needed to hear that. Thank you God for my sweet, amazing little man!
